Your files stay on your device.

This is the earlier policy wording. Its effective date could not be established from the archived source. Read the current Privacy Policy or policy history.

Your files are converted in your browser. We do not upload their contents or filenames to our servers to make the conversion. The website still needs to send your browser the page and its tools, so our hosting provider receives normal connection information, such as your IP address. That is separate from the files you choose.

What happens when you select a file

MorphoThat reads only the files you choose and processes them in this browser on your device. Your original is not overwritten. The result is offered back to your device for download. Format conversion, resizing, compression, and document extraction can change quality, layout, metadata, or features, so check the result before deleting the original.

What your browser downloads

Your browser downloads the website and the software needed for the selected tool. Some tools may need an additional fixed tool asset, such as the font used to create a PDF. These are tool files sent to your device, not your documents sent to us. After a supported tool has loaded what it needs, conversion can run without sending your files over the internet. Opening the website for the first time still needs an internet connection. A tool that cannot work in your browser explains the limitation; it does not switch to uploading your file.

Information used to deliver the website

Visiting a website creates a normal connection to its hosting provider. This may include your IP address, browser information, the page requested, and the time of the visit. Our hosting provider uses connection information to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the contents of the files you choose.

The converter is separate from the public website and does not contain advertising or third-party analytics scripts. The website currently does not load advertising scripts. If that changes, this page and any required privacy choices will be updated before the change is enabled.

The converter can send the surrounding MorphoThat page basic status information, such as whether it has loaded and the space it needs on screen. It may also send a summary of the selected tool, approximate file count and processing time, output format, and success or error category. These messages do not include filenames, file contents, extracted text, embedded metadata, or exact file sizes. The current website does not store or forward conversion summaries to an analytics service.

Temporary results and downloads

While you work, results may be held in memory or in storage your browser reserves for MorphoThat on your device. This helps with larger files and batches. This storage is local; it is not a backup on our servers.

Use Clear batch to start removing current results from the converter and its temporary storage. When the converter can confirm cleanup, it reports success. If removal fails, the failure remains visible and the message explains how to clear the site's browser data using your browser controls. Closing a tab alone does not guarantee that every temporary result has been deleted. On later visits, MorphoThat checks for abandoned results that have been inactive for roughly a day.

Files you download remain in your Downloads folder or the location you choose. Clearing a batch does not delete those saved copies. Your browser or device settings let you remove downloads and clear stored website data.

How we reduce risks

We check file types and sizes, limit how much work a file can request, keep conversion tools separate from the surrounding website, and avoid running scripts contained in documents. These checks reduce risk; they are not an antivirus scan or a guarantee that every file is harmless. Keeping your browser and device updated also matters.

Questions and support

You do not need an account to convert a file. Contact us through the contact page or to support@morphothat.com with privacy questions. If you email us, we receive the information you include in that message. Avoid attaching private source files to a support request; a description of the problem is usually enough.
